Vidyanagar Govt. PTTI was established in 1965. The Institute is located at Vidyanagar, Burdwan, West Bengal on a land of 4477 sq.meters and well connected by road and railways. It is easily accessible from Bhandartikuri Rail station or Nabadwip Dham station.

It is a purely Government Institute under School Education Department, WB offering D.EL.ED course for two years which is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Primary Education(WBBPE) and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE). It is a male Institution, being residential in nature and having a  intake capacity of 100 students (50 students for each session).

Presently the institution possesses an efficient infrastructure which includes well lit classrooms, computer rooms, ODL-room, recreation room, auditorium,library, boy’s hostel and a beautiful ample  play ground.

Note that the tours are booked well in advance and only a certain number of parents can be accommodated on each tour on first come first serve basis. Also it should be noted that the tour does not guarantee that the child will be accepted in the school as this depends on the availability and also the eligibility of the child.
